About this event
The Pittsburgh Veterans Day Parade, one of America's longest-running Veterans Day parades, has stepped off since 1919 and runs rain or shine on the Saturday before Veterans Day. The parade starts at the intersection of 11th St. and Liberty Ave. and proceeds down Grant St. and the Boulevard of the Allies, a road named in the early 1920s to honor the Allied nations of World War I. It features groups representing veterans of all eras, military units, civic and youth groups including Junior ROTC, and businesses, while floats and military and vintage vehicles add to the spectacle. Groups take part with permission from the Federation of War Veterans.
