The Nutcracker (Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre)

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre brings Terrence S. Orr's beloved Nutcracker back to the Benedum Center for a farewell run before an all-new production debuts. Set to Tchaikovsky's score, the production has lived in the city's heart for more than twenty years, and this grand finale invites audiences to gather around the treasured holiday tradition one more time. The schedule includes a sensory-friendly performance for families who want a more relaxed theater experience.

Our take: As the farewell run of this staging, it is worth booking early, and families wanting a gentler outing can look for the sensory-friendly date.
