About this event
The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival fills Waynesville's historic Main Street with about 460 craft vendors from over 25 states selling handmade goods. Almost 60 food items are on offer, all from vendors sponsored by local non-profit organizations, from hand-rolled cabbage rolls by St. Augustine's Church to sauerkraut pizza, and non-kraut food is easy to find. A beer garden has entertainment, and festival gear and cookbooks are sold at the Central Information Booth by the Entertainment Stage. The festival is a major fundraiser for area civic and charitable groups and funds scholarships for graduating seniors.
Our take: Park at Wayne Local High School on Dayton Road and ride the Athletic Boosters' shuttle; private lots near the festival aren't run or recommended by the organizers.
Parking
Shuttle bus parking run by the Athletic Boosters at Wayne Local High School, 735 Dayton Rd. Private lots nearby are not operated or recommended by the festival. No pets; service animals allowed.
