About this event
2nd Street Market fills a historic freight house at 600 E. Second Street in Dayton, run by Five Rivers MetroParks and likened to a European market hall of growers, bakers, culinary specialists, and artisans. The mission is to support small local businesses in food, agriculture, gardening, and home decor. Inside vendors run year-round, and on weekends through the growing season, seasonal growers add produce and flowers outdoors. SNAP shoppers pick up tokens at the SNAP Exchange Booth for more than 20 vendors. Group tours can be arranged ahead, and local nonprofits may use the Community Table at no charge.
Our take: Come on a weekend in the growing season if you want the outdoor growers added to the indoor hall.
Parking
Free parking, including ADA spaces, while shopping. Overflow until 2 pm at The Steam Plant, 617 E. Third Street. Other lots may tow. Pets are not permitted except service animals.
Good to know
Year-round Friday and Sunday 11 am-3 pm, Saturday 9 am-3 pm. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
