Kings Island Halloween Haunt

Halloween Haunt at Kings Island is a select-night scare event at 6300 Kings Island Drive in Mason. The park promises pulse-pounding scares, thrills, and shows, and says scare zones, live shows, and most rides come with park admission, while food, drink, haunted mazes, and merchandise are separate. Mazes include JASON: Blood Reign, tied to Friday the 13th, plus Order of the Dragon, Alien Abyss, Metal Massacre, Killmart, and Slaughter House. The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, with Annabelle, is an add-on and is not on the Haunted Attractions Pass. Included scare zones include Pumpkin Eater, Coney Maul, Abandoned, and Hooked. Shows include Nytewalkers, Ghouls Gone Wild, and Dr. Nightmare's Game Show. The event is not recommended for children under 13.

Our take: Get a Haunted Attractions Pass if the mazes are the point, and budget a separate add-on if The Conjuring: Beyond Fear is on the list.
