Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse

Mohican Haunted Schoolhouse occupies a vintage schoolhouse built in 1924 at 155 W. 3rd Street in Perrysville, the old Perrysville School on Route 39, between Cleveland and Columbus. The haunt opened in 2016 as Lessons in Fear. Three floors split the scares: the top floor is a tribute to classic monsters, the main floor sends guests through a vortex into a boarding school for unique children and an abandoned carnival, and the basement is Contagion Industries, where containment has failed. A Scaredy Cat Night runs with no scare actors. A Friday the 13th dark night drops the lights and adds hockey masks. A metal detector and security are on site. Children 12 and younger must be with an adult, and infants and toddlers are not allowed.

Our take: Choose Scaredy Cat Night if you want the schoolhouse without scare actors, and be inside before closing because check-in ends then.
