Under the Radar Festival

Under the Radar calls itself America's largest theater festival: three weeks of bold, risk-taking theater and performance from around the world and from just down the street, staged at venues across New York City. Founder Mark Russell, longtime artistic director of PS122, started it in 2003, and after nearly two decades at The Public Theater it became a citywide festival with partners including Lincoln Center, NYU Skirball, Japan Society and Joe's Pub. More than 40 productions are on the slate, with Jenn Kidwell and Janet Wong as co-creative directors.
