NYRR Midnight Run in Central Park

The NYRR Midnight Run is a 4-mile race in Central Park that starts the new year on the run: the countdown begins at 11:59 p.m., and as the clock strikes midnight, a fireworks display lights up the sky to send the field off. For New York Road Runners members, it's the final race of the 9+1 program that counts toward guaranteed entry into the TCS New York City Marathon. The souvenir is a winter accessory, and participation benefits NYRR's free youth and community programs.
