NYC Winter Jazzfest

NYC Winter Jazzfest is a week of jazz in clubs and halls across New York, showcasing a wide spectrum of innovative artists and championing jazz as a force for cultural and social change. Founded in 2005 as a one-day, single-location program, it has grown to dozens of stages and hundreds of musicians, and it has featured artists early in their careers including Jon Batiste, Robert Glasper, Samara Joy, Esperanza Spalding and Kamasi Washington. The centerpiece is the Manhattan Marathon night, when one pass gets you into Le Poisson Rouge, City Winery, DROM, Zinc Bar, The Bitter End, Nublu and more.

Our take: On Marathon night entry to any one venue isn't guaranteed and many rooms have limited seating, so arrive early for the set you most want to see.
