About this event
The Holiday Train Show, billed as New York City's favorite winter tradition, fills the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Model trains run over famous bridges and through familiar City settings, bringing nearly 200 landmark replicas to life under glass. Each miniature is built from plant parts such as palm fronds, pinecones, and cinnamon sticks. Outside, a glowing mountain-scape holds still more trains.
Our take: Come on an extended evening if you want the Conservatory trains after dark, then walk out to the glowing mountain-scape for the outdoor trains.

Extended evenings: Conservatory open until 8 p.m., last entry 7 p.m., on Nov. 27-29, Dec. 5, 11-12, 18-20, 26-30, and Jan. 2.
