NYBG Farmers Market

The NYBG Farmers Market sets up at the Mosholu Entrance of the New York Botanical Garden. About 15 vendors rotate each week, with two featured farms: Fino Farms, a Hudson Valley family farm with over 300 acres of apples, berries, and vegetables, and Trinity Farm, 30 acres in Clintondale run by David and Veronica Haughton, growing fruit and vegetables from cherries to squash and callaloo. Other stalls include Boogie Down Bronx Honey, Del Norte and Empabake empanadas, DoughCo bagels, Gaelle's French Pastries, and Penny Lick ice cream. EBT, SNAP, and Health Bucks are accepted, and a veggie valet holds purchases in a cooler at the market tent.

Our take: Use the veggie valet at the market tent if you plan to explore the garden after you buy produce.
