About this event
The Hamptons International Film Festival is the October showcase of HamptonsFilm, a nonprofit founded in 1992 to bring international films and filmmakers to audiences on the East End of Long Island. The program mixes world premieres, Spotlight selections, competition films and conversations, and the New York Film Critics Circle serves on the jury and moderates Q&As. Venues are spread across East Hampton, Southampton and Sag Harbor, an area too large to walk, so the festival calls a car the easiest way to get around.
Our take: Even when advance tickets are gone, join the Rush Line at the venue about 30 minutes before the screening; remaining seats are sold about five minutes before the start.
Parking
In East Hampton, use the daily lot closest to Herrick Park (the overnight lot needs a pass). Most village parking is limited to two free hours.
