Light Up The Boulevard

Light Up the Boulevard is the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce's electric parade and festival, an annual community celebration that also helps promote local businesses at the start of the holiday season. Festivities around Grand Island Town Hall and the town common include an evening light parade, vendors, food trucks, winter games and visits with Santa. Past editions, run jointly with the Town of Grand Island's Recreation Department, have paired a Rudolph Run with the Electric Light Parade, closed with a tree lighting at the end of the parade, and invited businesses and residents to compete in lighting contests.

Our take: Arrive while it's still light to see Santa and browse the vendors before the parade lights up the evening.
