About this event
Cavern City Oktoberfest is a craft-beverage weekend from Nurvis Purvis Brewing Co. at 1602 N. Canal Street in Carlsbad, built as a toast of New Mexico breweries, wineries, distilleries, and local makers. Boxing Bear, Downshift, Ex Novo, Guadalupe Mountain, and Miltons pour beside Sheehan Winery, Noisy Water Winery, Dark Stranger Meadery, and Black Gold Distillery. Food trucks include Bar Ditch Bistro, Patio Pizza, and East Coast Eats. Lederhosen or a dirndl is the suggested dress. Carlsbad Caverns National Park is the nearby side trip.
Our take: Stay over if you want both the Friday evening opening and the longer Saturday, with Carlsbad Caverns as the side trip.
