About this event
The Durham Holiday Parade sends hometown bands, drill teams, schools, and community groups down Main Street downtown, finishing with Santa. Durham Parks & Recreation runs it as a free rain-or-shine kickoff with floats, bands, and mascots. Seating is not provided, so spectators bring chairs and blankets. Claim a Main Street spot early and pack a blanket for the curb.
Our take: Bring your own chairs—the city is clear that seating is DIY along the route.
