About this event

The Durham Farmers' Market is farmer run and Durham focused: every item is produced by the people selling it, and it all comes from no more than 70 miles away. Since 1999 it has grown from a few farmers and crafters in the gravel parking lot of the old Durham Bulls stadium to more than 65 vendors, and since 2007 it has had its own home at the Pavilion at Durham Central Park. It became a year-round market in 2008, and on Saturdays the Durham Craft Market and Art Market Durham set up right alongside it.

Our take: Bring kids to a Wednesday market (mid-April to mid-October), when the Sprouts Club teaches nutrition, seasonal eating, cooking tips and composting.
