About this event
Carolina Holiday Light Spectacular is a walk-through light show at Ballantyne's Backyard in Charlotte's Ballantyne area, started in 2022 by three friends who grew up in the city and wanted to build a new family tradition at home. Millions of lights stretch across more than 40 illuminated scenes, with live entertainment every night, Santa's Private Workshop and a small winter carnival with a Ferris wheel and other rides. Its signature touch is the Magic Snowflake Wand, which guests touch to glowing snowflakes along the path to set off effects.
Our take: Pick up a snowflake wand at the Wand Hut; it turns the walk into a scavenger hunt for kids.
