Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas

Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas dresses a classic New England village in lights and wreaths for a Berkshire weekend of performances, markets, and historic property tours. Norman Rockwell's Home for Christmas, begun in 1956 and finished in 1967, inspires the Sunday recreation, when Main Street closes to traffic and more than 25 vintage automobiles line up outside his former studio. Saturday's self-guided tour includes Merwin House, Ventfort Hall, The Inn at Stockbridge, Chesterwood, and the Tappan House at Tanglewood, and Cantantes Pro Musica leads a concert and sing-along at First Congregational Church. Shops, the Norman Rockwell Museum pop-up shop, and the Red Lion Inn courtyard booth round out the weekend.
