About this event
Nantucket Christmas Stroll, dubbed Stroll, is the island's signature holiday weekend, with Santa arriving by a nautical sleigh and the island dressed as a winter wonderland. Roaming carolers in Victorian garb, the Magical Talking Tree, craft shows, and a European-style Christmas Marketplace fill the weekend. The Stroll Marketplace at the NIR and Stop and Shop parking lot, 9 Salem Street near the bottom of Main Street, offers food, drinks, and handcrafted goods from Chamber members and nonprofits. The Nantucket Chamber of Commerce at Zero Main Street, second floor, gives out the Official Stroll Program and also staffs a marketplace table. Two rows of the downtown Stop and Shop lot are closed for part of the weekend.
Our take: Stop at the chamber on Zero Main Street for the Official Stroll Program before you walk, and do not count on those two closed rows in the Stop and Shop lot.
Parking
Two rows in the downtown Stop and Shop parking lot are closed from the afternoon of December 4 to the evening of December 5. The marketplace is in that lot at 9 Salem Street.
Good to know
Stroll Marketplace is open Saturday 10am-3pm. Chamber program table in the marketplace Saturday 10:00am-3:00pm.
