About this event

The Natchitoches Christmas Festival has run since 1927 in Natchitoches, the oldest permanent settlement in the Louisiana Purchase and a town named for a Native American tribe, pronounced Nack-a-tish. What began as a one-day festival is now a six-week season of lights in the Historic Landmark District, with over 300,000 lights and more than 100 set pieces on display every night at dusk. Saturday programming adds live music, kids activities, and fireworks. Displays sit along the district at 781 Front Street, a short hop from I-49 at exit 138.

Our take: Plan a Saturday if you want live music, kids activities, and fireworks with the nightly light sets along Front Street.
