About this event
Neighbors experiencing homelessness are the reason for this 5K walk and run at Forsythe Park in Monroe, starting from Pavilion 1. Proceeds go to daily operations at The Renewal Center of NELA, a community day shelter that provides meals, laundry, showers, hygiene items, Bible studies, case management, help with vital documents, and connections to local resources. The morning is a community gathering as much as a timed course. Come ready to walk or run, with the shelter's services as the reason the race exists.
Our take: Arrive for the early check-in at Pavilion 1 if you want a calm start before the walk and run.
Good to know
Preregistration is at 7:00 a.m. The race begins at 9:00 a.m.
