About this event
Chackbay's Louisiana Gumbo Festival puts a traditional gumbo recipe at the center of a wider spread of Cajun and Creole cooking, with live zydeco and Cajun bands supplying the rhythm. Activities run for every age, and a group of Harley-Davidson riders from New Orleans makes a yearly visit to the grounds on Highway 304 in Thibodaux. Food and the dance music are the two pillars. Eat the gumbo before you fill up on the rest of the menu, and stay for a zydeco set.
