About this event

On Swan Lake Road in Bossier City, some pumpkins grow on the vine beside hives kept by a family of beekeepers, and those bees pollinate the crop. Hive & Harvest is laid out to feel like a working farm rather than a parking-lot patch: vine pumpkins for picking and pictures, plus other pumpkins brought in. Raw honey from the hives is part of the stop, along with small games such as cornhole, a snack shack, and photo props for families, couples, and friends. The setup grew from time spent at a corn maze in Blanchard and a wish to bring that family mood to Bossier. Photograph a vine pumpkin before you pick, and leave a few minutes for the honey.

Our take: Photograph a pumpkin still on the vine, then pick up honey from the hives on the property.
