About this event
Exploration Acres in Lafayette calls its corn maze the largest in Northwest Indiana: 22 acres, four mazes, and more than 10 miles of paths. The 11-acre pumpkin patch holds more than 38 varieties, from 1 to 200 pounds, and wagons plus hayrides behind an antique tractor help haul the load. General admission also covers a straw mound, a shelled-corn bin, pedal carts, a 35-foot tube slide, pony swings, and farm games from ducky races to pumpkin races. Corn cannon, gem mining, laser-tag combat, and private fire pits are add-ons. The farm is at 6042 Newcastle Road.
Our take: Grab a wagon or the hayride if you are picking from the heavy end of the patch, since pumpkins run up to 200 pounds.
