About this event
Carmel Christkindlmarkt at 10 Carter Green, between The Payne and Mencias Palladium and The Tarkington, is staged as an authentic German Christmas market. Dozens of huts sell German food, drinks, and gifts, and German artisans demonstrate woodworking or glassblowing in the Werkstatt. The ice rink at Carter Green is real ice, the Winter Pavilion holds live music, and families make crafts in the Kinderecke plus meet-and-greets in the Spielhaus. A self-guided digital tour and the Kulturecke cover Indiana's German-American history. A weekend shuttle runs to the market every 15 minutes.

Closed Monday, Tuesday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Wednesday and Thursday 4–9 pm; Friday and Saturday 12–9 pm; Sunday 12–8 pm. Special hours include Nov. 25 and Dec. 21–23 at noon–9 pm, and Dec. 24 at noon–4 pm.
