About this event

The Waikiki Holiday Parade commemorates the attack on Pearl Harbor by honoring survivors and veterans in memory of December 7, 1941. Local Hawaiian bands, marching bands from the mainland, military units, officials, and dignitaries march down torch-lit Kalakaua Avenue along Waikiki Beach on the Friday after Thanksgiving, in front of thousands of residents and visitors. Founder Jake Peppers built the parade around that tribute, and Gateway Music Festivals and Tours continues it under the guidelines he set.

Our take: Claim a spot along Kalakaua Avenue if you want the torch-lit march and the military units in view.
