About this event
The Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair is the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro's agricultural fair and main fundraiser, serving the seven-county area around Bulloch County. Amusements of America runs the midway, and the fair adds livestock shows, local food vendors, business booths, a parade and the Miss Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair pageant. Shows include the Zerbini Family Circus, the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, the Jurassic Kingdom dinosaur show and Lynn the Mime. In Heritage Village, beekeepers explain their craft, young people show their poultry, and volunteers grind corn meal, make syrup and open the shotgun-style Aldrich House.
Our take: Stop at the Old Store in Heritage Village for old-fashioned penny candy and dime Cokes, now $1.

Mon 6:30 p.m.–midnight; Tue–Thu 4 p.m.–midnight; Fri 4 p.m.–1 a.m.; Sat noon–midnight. Gates close at 10 p.m. (11 p.m. Friday). Admission $12 online, $15 at the gate; children 5 and under free. Clear bags only; metal detectors in use.
