Holly Jolly Jekyll

Holly Jolly Jekyll spreads lights and seasonal programs across Jekyll Island. A trolley tour, on select nights, rides the Historic District past more than a million lights. Peppermint Land keeps mini golf open among life-size gumdrops, peppermint sticks, and gingerbread characters. Pictures with Santa are at the Skeet House on Pier Road, a self-guided scavenger hunt starts at Mosaic, Jekyll Island Museum, and a Holidays in History tour looks at the season the way Jekyll Island Club members would have. The Winter Carnival and Big Truck Roundup brings carnival rides, games, and music to the Village Green on one December day.

Our take: Ride the Historic District light trolley, then add Peppermint Land mini golf if the kids still have energy.
