Jacksonville Beach Deck The Chairs

Jacksonville Beach Deck the Chairs turns oceanfront lifeguard chairs into decorated holiday art around the Seawalk Pavilion and Latham Plaza. It is the flagship program of the Students in the Arts Alliance and has been a Jacksonville Beach tradition since 2013, with chairs dressed by local businesses, nonprofits and student artists. Five weeks of free holiday arts and entertainment fill the stage with performances by thousands of student and community performers. Southern Living has listed it among 20 Florida Christmas traditions you won't find anywhere else.

Our take: Pick a favorite as you walk the exhibit and cast your chair vote; every display is built by a local business, nonprofit or student group.
