Christmas Made in the South

Christmas Made in the South brings hundreds of artists and craftspeople to the Prime Osborn Convention Center in downtown Jacksonville for a three-day fine arts and crafts show. Producer Carolina Shows admits only artists and makers, with no mass-produced goods, so the booths run from silk wearables and fabric bags to dichroic glass jewelry and close-up nature photography. Many exhibitors demonstrate their craft at their booths, and gourmet food and live entertainment keep the aisles lively.

Our take: Look up the show's overflow parking information before you head to the Prime Osborn; the Thanksgiving-weekend crowd fills nearby spots.
