About this event
The Georgia Apple Festival brings two October weekends of shopping and fair food to the Ellijay Lions Club Fairgrounds in Gilmer County. Named for the ripening apples at local orchards, it has grown from a small arts and crafts show into a four-day event with hundreds of vendors selling handmade and hand-crafted items, on-site demonstrations and live music. Every craft item must be handmade, handcrafted or grown by the artist, who has to be on site, so resale and wholesale goods are kept out.
Our take: Bringing the dog? Pets aren't allowed at the fairgrounds, but the Apple Arts festival in downtown Ellijay is pet friendly and runs the same days and times.
Parking
Ellijay Lions Club Fairgrounds, 1729 South Main Street. The festival's onsite shuttle service is not running. No pets; service animals allowed.
Good to know
Saturday 9 a.m.–6 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Admission $10; children 12 and under free. Tickets are always available at the gate. Rain or shine.
