About this event
The North Georgia Fair, organized by the North Georgia Fair Association, brings Drew Expositions' rides and free shows to the fairgrounds on Legion Drive in Dalton. Gate admission covers the stage entertainment, racing pigs, the Zerbini Family Circus, Michael Frisbee's Magical Adventure Show and a petting zoo. Bands play the stage on weekend nights, from singer-songwriter Josh Bearden and Latino band Los del Sexto to Bettin on the Mule and Double Granite, and the fair closes with an Old Fashion Day. The association, started by the Whitfield County Farm Bureau, uses the fair to recognize agriculture and encourage young people.
Our take: Bluegrass fans should aim for the closing Saturday, when Little Roy & Lizzy from the Grand Ole Opry headline.
