About this event

Rock City on Lookout Mountain turns its gardens into a storybook pumpkin patch built around four enchanted trails: Nimble's Web Walk, Bergmann's Boneyard, Leif's Ghost Garden, and Edvard's Batwing Hollow. Large-scale lighted jack-o'-lanterns and pumpkin lanterns, hand-carved by the Innovations team, set a spooky but never scary glow, as if the stone witch Galoochee had spelled the mountaintop. Prospector's Point adds a smoking Cursed Cauldron for photos and pumpkin painting, a bumbling scarecrow works Legacy Lane, and brass players plus an old-time fiddler at Cafe 7 supply the music. Hot apple cider and a crossing of the Swing-A-Long Bridge are the easy signature stops. The patch is included with regular Rock City admission, and costumes are encouraged.

Our take: Stay into the evening if you want the lighted jack-o'-lantern trails, and grab hot apple cider while you cross the Swing-A-Long Bridge.
