About this event
The Whole Vine Festival celebrates the San Joaquin Valley, the only region in the country that grows table grapes, raisin grapes and wine grapes side by side, with a free day at Fresno State. Visitors sample fresh table grapes and raisins, browse local artisans and food trucks, take in cultural arts, and hear bands including the University High School Jazz Ensemble, Super Sonic and In Kahootz on the Entertainment Zone stage. A 21-and-over wine and beer garden pours Valley wines and local brews, and a free Kids Zone has games, crafts, a petting zoo and grape stomping.
Our take: Bring the kids in costume between 3 and 5 p.m., when the festival hands out candy to costumed children.
Parking
Free admission and free parking off Woodrow Avenue and along Maple Avenue at Fresno State, near Barstow and Woodrow; accessible parking near the entrance.
