About this event

Downtown Campbell Oktoberfest, run by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce, fills the streets of historic downtown Campbell with a two-day Bavarian-themed festival that's free and open to the public. Dozens of food vendors serve bratwurst and other sausages, sauerkraut, pretzels, German potato salad and desserts, while German beers and ales pour at the Biersch Garten and four other beer booths. Arts and craft booths, live music, stein-holding and costume contests and the Kinderplatz kids zone fill out the weekend, and a large covered tent with tables overlooks the contests.

Our take: Skip the downtown garages: park at the Pruneyard garage and ride the free Corinthian shuttle, which runs from 9:30 a.m. with breaks at noon and 3:30 p.m.

Parking

Public garages around downtown; disabled parking at City Hall and the Campbell Library; bike valet at First St. and Civic Center; VTA Light Rail station on the east side of downtown. Last shuttle 6:30 p.m. Saturday, 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Good to know

Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Free admission; food and drink prices vary. Drink tickets, glassware, OktoberFAST passes and Kinderplatz tickets can be bought ahead online. Pets discouraged; service animals welcome.
