About this event
Hot rodder Gary Meadors founded the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association in Northern California in 1983, and its Autumn Get-Together brings more than 2,500 American-made or American-powered cars and trucks of every era to the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. Beyond the show field there's AutoCross racing with the Fall Shootout, the Nitro Thunderfest, a big swap meet and Cars 4 Sale Corral, and three indoor displays, including a lowrider showcase and antique military vehicles. Veterans Day touches include "Vettes for Vets" ride-alongs, and the Goodgals Gallery sells handmade gifts, along with a vintage camping trailer display, model car show and family fun zone.
Our take: Go Saturday if racing is your thing, since the AutoCross Fall Shootout runs that afternoon.
