About this event
The California Capital Airshow at Mather Airport is run by a nonprofit created to honor the Sacramento region's aviation heritage and veterans and to use flight to inspire young people. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds headline. Static displays let visitors meet WWII-era and military crews at their aircraft, and performers stop by the Autograph Tent near show center. General admission seating is up to you, while chalets offer indoor and outdoor seating along the front line.
Our take: Ride your bike: local bicycle advocacy groups run free valet bike parking near the show entrance, plus free bike checkups.

Parking only in designated areas at Mather Airport; free valet bike parking near the entrance.
Good to know
Gates and parking open at noon; last car entry 5 p.m.; flying performances 3:30–8 p.m. Tickets are for the day chosen at purchase.
