About this event
The Tucson Marathon is a point-to-point, net-downhill race along the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains. The marathon, 50K ultra and marathon relay start at Biosphere 2 near Oracle and descend past Catalina and through Oro Valley, while the half marathon starts at Golder Ranch Fire Administration in Catalina and joins The Loop bike path beside the Cañada del Oro. Everything finishes at Pima Community College's Northwest Campus. The course is USATF certified and a Boston Marathon qualifier, with a time limit of 7.5 hours.
Our take: Half marathoners can't be dropped off at the Catalina start; take the bus from Oro Valley Marketplace.
Good to know
Wheelchair half 7:10am; marathon, 50K, relay and half marathon 7:15am.
