Marana Pumpkin Patch

Seventy acres of homegrown pumpkins sit at the center of a family farm afternoon in Marana, timed for the stretch when Arizona temperatures ease. Visitors pick favorites to take home, then branch out to train rides and farm animals scattered across the patch. The grounds work as a farm festival, with the pumpkin field as the reason most people come. Wander the rows while the afternoon is still comfortable, and leave time to choose a pumpkin rather than grabbing the first one in sight.

Our take: Head for the pumpkin rows first, then circle back to the train and the farm animals.
