Lester Haunted Hospital

Lester Haunted Hospital bills itself as one of North Alabama's scariest haunted houses and has run since 2010 inside the former D.E. Jackson Memorial Hospital, a real medical facility that opened in the 1940s to serve Lester and surrounding communities, closed in the 1990s, and sat vacant until it was turned into the haunt. Many fans still remember the earlier GoodSprings Haunted House, which ran for 27 years. Investigation teams have reported strange voices, unexplained movements, and apparitions, so the night may include more than costumed actors. Snacks, drinks, and food trucks are on the premises most nights, with porta-johns on the front side of the building.
