About this event
The Sheridan Christmas Stroll has been held the day after Thanksgiving since 1996 as the official kickoff of the holiday season in Sheridan County, centered on the historic downtown, with shoppers wearing numbered Stroll buttons that can match prizes posted in participating stores. Recent Strolls have brought Santa and Mrs. Claus to the WYO Theater and closed Main Street and Grinnell Plaza to cars in the evening for wagon rides, marshmallow roasting, music and caroling before a fireworks finale.
Our take: Come hungry for the evening: recent Strolls have handed out cocoa, cider, soup, cookies and chili along Main Street.
