About this event
Wauwatosa’s Village Tree Lighting opens the Christmas Market season with a countdown at Pocket Park, then Santa arrives on a fire truck. It is a short community kickoff rather than a multi-hour festival, centered on the Village BID’s Holidays In the Village slate. Families gather for the light-up and then spill into nearby market browsing. Arrive a few minutes early for a Pocket Park sightline, and bring gloves for the outdoor countdown.
Our take: Stay for the Christmas Market booths right after the lights so one Village trip covers both the ceremony and shopping.
Good to know
Ceremony 5pm; market continues 5:30-9pm
