Enchanted Valley Acres Fall Fun

Enchanted Valley Acres, just north of Cross Plains in Dane County, is a fall stop for a pumpkin patch, corn mazes, and giant slides. Two famous slides and 8 acres of mazes anchor the visit, and the 1937 Big Red Barn holds a family play area. Pumpkins can be picked or chosen already picked, and admission is not required just to buy them. The barn deck looks over the scenery, with food from a concessions trailer. Gemstone mining and egg excavation are add-ons outside general admission. Christmas trees, pre-cut or cut-your-own, return the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Our take: Skip the activity ticket if you only need a pumpkin, and buy ahead on a busy date so the gate does not sell out.
