About this event

The Saturday Dane County Farmers' Market rings the tree-lined grounds of the Wisconsin State Capitol, the Square, in downtown Madison. It is producer-only, so vendors are limited by what they harvest and may sell out before the close. Come early, bring family and reusable bags, and treat it as a Madison tradition. Bike-friendly routes lead downtown, bike parking rings the Square, and Madison BCycle has more than 40 stations in and around downtown. Madison Metro buses serve the Capitol Square.

Our take: Get there early with a reusable bag; producer-only stalls can sell out before the market closes.

Parking

Street parking, mostly metered, and municipal ramps a block or two from the Square. Bike parking around the Capitol Square. Pets not permitted; service animals allowed.

Good to know

Closes at 1:00 pm on Saturday, 9/5.
