About this event
Indigenous Peoples Day: Following the Elders is an all-day celebration in the Lilac Bowl at Riverfront Park in Spokane that honors Indigenous elders and veterans. The day includes an Indigenous march and host drums, with Eagle Stone as host drum and Colville Peak as youth host drum. A community feast, a fashion show, Native food and art vendors and youth activities fill out the program.
Our take: Plan to stay for the community feast and browse the Native food vendors, since the celebration runs most of the day.
