About this event
Oxtober Harvest Festival sits on Oxbow's organic farm fields and forest trails in the Snoqualmie Valley, at 10819 Carnation-Duvall Road NE in Carnation. Nature is the main attraction: pumpkins, hayrides, outdoor play and hands-on learning. Guests launch apples at Sling King, romp in House O' Hay and the corn crib, ride a tractor to see sustainable agriculture and habitat restoration, make potato prints and visit a worm lab. Organically grown pumpkins, native plants and dry bulbs are for sale, and lawn games plus scavenger hunts fill the gaps. A kids' farm tour, apple cider press and nursery tour run during the day, and workshops cover fermentation, native bulbs, bundle dyeing and native teas. Food trucks, Oxbow cider and live local music run through the afternoon.
Our take: Wear closed-toe waterproof shoes for the mud, then pair the tractor ride with Sling King and the worm lab.
Parking
Dogs are not allowed past the Farm Stand. Accessible parking and restrooms are at the Plant Stand. Costumes encouraged; closed-toe waterproof shoes recommended; mud is likely.
