Church Street Holiday Stroll

The Town of Vienna and Historic Vienna, Inc. turn Church Street into a Gingerbread Wonderland for an evening stroll. Santa visits, local groups play holiday music and Mayor Linda Colbert leads a tree lighting, while firepits invite visitors to warm their hands or roast marshmallows. Historic sites along the street open their doors, including the Freeman Store and Museum, the Caboose, the Train Station and Vienna Presbyterian's Old Chapel. Gingerbread ornament decorating stations line the route, with finished ornaments judged for prize packs of gift cards from local businesses.

Our take: Roast a marshmallow at one of the firepits, then decorate a gingerbread ornament early enough to enter it in the judging.
