About this event
Pumpkins Illuminated is a glowing harvest festival on the Menokin grounds in Warsaw, on Virginia's Northern Neck. Lighted pumpkin sculptures form an evening trail with food and drink; Garner's donates the pumpkins. The Chesapeake to Cat Point Creek Conservation Festival adds nature hikes, guided kayak paddles on Cat Point Creek, a craft marketplace, maker demonstrations, lantern making, and a lantern parade. Kid-friendly stations under the big tent include bird mask-making, paper lanterns, button designing, and face painting. The illuminated trail is the evening piece across the harvest weekend.
Our take: Make Saturday the full day if you want the Conservation Festival and lantern parade before walking the lighted trail.
Parking
After the early-bird window, gate entry is cash only and each ticket is valid for one day only.
Good to know
The illuminated trail is an evening program Friday through Sunday; the Conservation Festival and lantern parade are Saturday afternoon into evening. Guided paddles are a separate ticket.
