About this event
The Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade is a beloved 43-year holiday tradition run by the Chesapeake Rotary Club with the City of Chesapeake. The evening opens with the Holly Jolly Jog Fun Run before the parade heads up the route to City Hall, bringing together families, local organizations and businesses. The 2026 theme, "America250: A Christmas Celebration," honors the nation's 250th anniversary.
Our take: Roads close well before the start, so park at the City Hall lots early and bundle up for an evening on the curb.

General parking at the City Hall/Municipal Center lots behind the Central Library on Cedar Road; roads close around 4:15–4:30pm
