About this event
The Chattanooga Market presents Chattanooga Oktoberfest, a two-day festival of German accents: live oompah music, cultural food and a selection of beer, food and fun. Festive German attire is recommended. Oompah plays all weekend under the main tent, and contests include a brat toss, stein hoisting and a Mr. and Ms. Chattanooga Oktoberfest contest. Bauernhofe und Kunstmarkt brings farms, artisans and craftsmen from the Chattanooga area to First Horizon Pavilion, next to Finley Stadium at 1801 Reggie White Blvd, with produce, artisan foods and crafts. Kids' activities typically include face painting, animal balloons and sweet snacks. The biergarten mixes local, regional and international breweries.
Our take: Bring a card for beer and merchandise, grab a spot under the main tent for oompah, and pick a brat-toss or stein-hoisting round if you want a contest.
Good to know
Saturday 10 am-8 pm, Sunday 11 am-5 pm. Merchandise and beer sales are card only. Farms and artisans in the Kunstmarkt may take cash.
